How Do I Look

Case a glance at the reflection of yourself on the display window behind the bus stop, it projects a Nordic sky dotted with no glittering stars but a silhouette of aurora with a monochrome colour palette of black, grey, and navy. The latest fashion showcased in the display window not only inspires you but also triggers your desire of shopping spree, jeans and oversized top, however, are the classic statement pieces of your ever-lasting everyday outfit as you are the firm believer of playing it safe. You ooze tranquility from head to toe as your silence has said it all to prove that lingering in the comfort zone is always a good idea.

Bus still being out of sight, you pay a quick visit to the shops nearby. Judging the way you stride in the crowd and the way you flip through magazines and clothing racks, hesitation seems out of existence. Little do you know that your body language constantly gives the false witness of confidence. Your fingertips may show no mercy, but your fidgets and the numerous attempts of nail biting at the bus stop leave the trace of vulnerability.

Miscellaneous thoughts then start to occupy your sophisticated mind when you unconsciously turn around and stare at the display window again, noticing the bus waiting booth is joined by a blonde girl wearing a floaty linen blend summer dress in bold floral print with dipped hem and an open back cut showing her perfectly tanned, sun-kiss skin, who somehow makes you feel inferior in your  trusty oversized grey t-shirt and skinny ripped jeans. It then gets a bit chill when the sun is overshadowed by clouds, and you begin to lament the imminent end of summer long before the launch of a new season collection on the fashion calendar, even if your attire never involves any shorts or dresses, not to mention bright colours or playful prints.
You are a tangled puzzle full of paradox.
